someone explain to me why Bush Hamdan should be our OC
Browning or no Browning, Auburn, Cal, and Ohio State were winnable games where the biggest factor was the offensive playcalling being bad.
After starting off with 5 screen passes and a cloud of dust vs Auburn, we started carving them up with down the field passes and pissed away 3 red zone opportunities.
Against Ohio State, the defense was on the field the entire first half. When we started calling aggressive plays, we actually scored.
Everything about Cal was a joke.
When we won games last year, we did just enough on offense and then coasted.
Bush was not a good hire and the results last year reflect that. Only good counter argument is that the offense is fundamentally broken as a result of Petersen.

and why he gets so much slack around here.

I think it's on Pete. When opposing defenses crank up the pressure and bring a rush, instead of putting a dagger through their heart with quick dives or passes down the middle, he tries to run away from the defense by going lateral. Which, of course, is exactly what the Defenses anticipate he'll do, which means the defense has won the play or series before the ball even touches Brown Sox's hands.
We'll know how the season is going to play out the first time we see an opposing LB lining up in the A gap. -
BTW: This year's starting QB is BrownSox, version 2, until he isn't.

I'm willing to give it one more year and I give him some slack because of his work with the WRs in 2016 - that was incredible.
But so far, his recruiting has been shit and his offense has been beyond shit. I've heard he hated Jake, so we shall see.. -
I'm willing to give it 0 more years

For the same reason we(!) hated Jake, or because Jake couldn't cover up his deficiencies.Dennis_DeYoung said:I'm willing to give it one more year and I give him some slack because of his work with the WRs in 2016 - that was incredible.

Our offense basically eliminated Jake from it as much as possible down the stretch.GrundleStiltzkin said:
