This is an interesting read, outside of the angle on the Clumpson WR. I did not realize that the XFL was going to go after college kids and pay them up to $200k per season. Could alter the college football landscape and recruiting forever, or it might not. Either way, it'll be interesting.

Supposedly the XFL has $500 million in funding.UWhuskytskeet said:It will probably fold just like the AAF.

This is too bad. I think a developmental league that partners with the NFL would have some legs.UWhuskytskeet said:It will probably fold just like the AAF.
XFL won’t because nobody wants to work with Vince McMahon. The AAF could have pulled it off. -
that'll pay for the uniforms, capped salaries, a full year of marketing and the lawyer fees associated with chapter 11.BleachedAnusDawg said:

There is the NFL and there is college football
Get rid of college football and you have minor leagues playing at high school fields riding buses and no one paying to watch live or on TV

I always enjoy the paying players argument that says open minor leagues.RaceBannon said:There is the NFL and there is college football

It would be about 10000 times better to be a college athlete then a minor league football player.
