I would too. My high school history teacher was the only other person I’ve ever heard speak ill of Abe. Lincoln did things like suspending Habeas Corpus, etc., but I hardly think that wipes out everything he did while in office.
Knowing what I know of @MikeDamone i think the first income tax in our? History might be the culprit.
Fun fact. And it was only levied on the high income earners.
Income Tax: The Revenue Act of 1861 levied a 3% flat rate income tax on those with an annual income at or exceeding $800. In 1861, only 3% of the population earned more than $800 per year; as such, the tax enjoyed relatively widespread support among legislators.
Of course, that's how they were able to dupe dumbfucks like you into supporting it. The tax will only be levied on rich people swearsies. And then guys like you support it and the next thing you know it's being levied on everyone.
Killing 300,000 Rebs to preserve the Union and free the slaves wasn’t cheap. Income tax went away for nearly 50 years once the war was one.
But when they brought it back how did they sell it?
Didn't you scream that 47% of people don't pay federal income tax Bob? Now you say that everyone pays federal income tax? Which is it Lil lyin Bob....
As usual you change you "facts" to meet the objective you are seeking.
You know, I initially thought of putting this thread in the Record Shoppe, but now that’s it’s turned into another cat fight over taxes I’m glad it’s in the Tug.

Did you expect anything else?
To be fair, I didn't realize that was the start of the income tax. So I actually learned something from this thread.

Better than tarrifs and all the battleships we built between 1909 and 1921 were expensive as fuck.

Why are you lying Bob?
You're right Hondo, it's not levied on dead people or people who don't work or drug dealers. Another BIG win for the pathological liar.
And it's a documented fact that Trump's team met with a Russian team to discuss giving DNC emails and Hillary emails to Trump.

So triple down on your lie (read my last post you obviously missed). You do realize that families that make $40k don't pay federal income tax right? I seem to remember an argument that you still obsess over where you bitch about how many people don't pay federal income tax.
Well Colonel Jonathon Smith is back from the hospital and has been given command of our unit again. Much grumbling amongst the men at this news. I endeavor to give the man a fair chance but it is hard to forget the thousands of men he lost in his last battle.
He seems a frail man with limited intellect and a fastidious manner that rubs troops the wrong way. It is hard to fathom how such a great leader as our General Petersen would continue to inflict this man upon the troops he loves. The very balance of the war hinges on this next battle and we go into it with no confidence in our leader. This is not good Martha. I fear for our country.
Give my love to Jeremiah and Rachel and know that I will love you forever even though I am likely to not return from this damnable war.
As always Jacob Browning Private Washington 81st Infantry
Not technically gifted...,
I should have added that Race Bannon wrote that four score and three years ago

Even though I’ve met @RaceBannon in real life once, I still only picture him as the Shelby Foote of Husky Football.

Do you have access to history books? That’s what I thought.
I’ve got a pretty piece of paper from the University of Washington signed by Dick McCormick that says I read history books. And said books don’t mirror your opinion.
You know, I initially thought of putting this thread in the Record Shoppe, but now that’s it’s turned into another cat fight over taxes I’m glad it’s in the Tug.
if you would have put this in yellow's - there is a small chance that it would have stayed on subject, very small
Edit - @YellowSnow whoop-de-fucking-do on a piece of paper

Doesn’t surprise me that UW whitewashed history as part of their indoctrination process.

Yes. It pales in comparison to your internet bulletin board post and HH reputation.

I came out of UW as Fox News loving Mr Young Republican and the party of Lincoln doesn’t turn on its greatest POTUS.
Now when it comes to higher level history takes I suggest leaving this stuff to the experts. A man’s got to know his limitations. For example, I don’t know shit about plumbing or owning my own bidness.

Yellapiss is pictured on the left. He is standing on his knees of course.
