    I agree but who in the Rat party is calling for cutting spending? The public doesn't have the balls to support cuts in spending. You can't even cut the rate of growth in a Federal program without a liberal Kunt like HC crying about how you're "gutting" the program.

    No one but 3 or 4 in congress are calling for actual cutting spending (not just cutting spending growth). And those get called big meanies who hate proor people and seniors and the blacks.

    Of course the party of Jefferson and Jackson won’t do shit on spending. We know this. But most (not you guys) GOP voters these days don’t want spending cuts either. We’re totally fucked.

    That's pretty much always been true it's not a recent development. After the GOP took over the House in 1994 I was watching a CSPAN town hall meeting with Congressman Dick Armey and his constituents. Armey was one of the biggest proponents of cutting Federal spending who ran on that issue.

    Nearly every question he received was about how he was going protect people's medicare benefits and social security benefits. His voters might have liked the idea of cutting spending but they certainly didn't think any of those cuts were going to impact them nor did any of them really seem to understand that these programs were/are the biggest driver of our deficits.
