The Mueller investigation ended being a boon to Trump. You guys should thank the Dems and show a little more gratitude.

That's kind of like thanking me for leaving after I spend two years on your couch dropping chips all over your rug

Fine, Manafort did bad deals with the Ukraine in 2005. Which has been known by prosecutors for some time now. He got what he deserved

A lot of folks had fortunes drained and reputations destroyed and did not deserve it.

Do you want 4 more years or not? Trump’s been saying fake news / whitch hunt for 2 years and now he gets gets to say see I told you so all the way up to Election Day.
That's great and all but I would have rather had his first two years spent with the GOP congress passing his agenda rather than waiting to see if he was a traitor or not

Winning without results is Obama Part Duex
You are truly a pussy if you are blaming Democrats and this investigation for shit not getting done when Republicans owned both houses and the presidency. Own your shit.
The point was made earlier by someone else: there are / were some "never Trump" Rs, and there are / were some "Trump can shit in my mouth and it'll be great" Rs too. But there is a big group, who are career politicians and who by their MO tend to be more strategic. The latter group, arguably at least, distanced themselves from Trump any way they could because, at the time, it appeared that this was all going to be quite scandalous. Now, as I mentioned, Donnie does other things unrelated to Russia that make associating with him politically risky. But there's no denying that if he or his affiliates were going to be rolled for treason with the Russians, well, there's no recovering from that. It would be like Joe Kennedy aligning himself with the isolationists and being perceived (somewhat fairly I might add) as not being hard enough on the Nazi / Jew problem. When it shook out how it shook out, his career was over and he knew it. Which is why he turned his eye immediately to his boys. His chicken was baked. Same thing here.

I think it's a fair point. I don't think any of us know to a precise degree how much it got in the way. But Trump has mobilized A LOT of political support for his agenda. Hard to write that off and just assume that they couldn't get it done. Congressmen tend to listen to their constituents.

Mueller knew in late 2017 that there was no probable cause for the FISA warrants or of Trump collusion. He did have irrefutable evidence of actual Pip's collusion but ignored it and proceeded with process crime investigation's against Trump's associates in a witch hunt. He then tried to get Trump to testify for a perjury trap. Mueller is POS hack.

Now there's the REAL scandal, led by Comey. That mother-fucker lied and scammed his way into several FISA warrants that had no probable cause whatsoever. And FUCK the lapdog FISA judges who signed those warrants, too, even though, truth be told, it's rare for any Judge anywhere to decline to sign search warrants, because of the old CYA and they can always blame the lawyers for lying to them.
We could probably get close to bi partisan agreement here to get rid of the FISA court

I have no idea if they do any good or not. But still. And I'm sure I supported it 18 years ago. I was young and impressionable

Read between the lines & wise up, guys. He concluded - at that point in time - that he didn't have evidence of collusion. He then continued to investigate the case for another several months.

I'm skeptical of that too. And it's going to be a tough one to prove or disprove. Investigations aren't like timed events. It's an on-going thing. In August of 2018 they may not have had any evidence. But we don't know where he was in the process.

I have a hard time believing Mueller had more or less wrapped up his investigation and said, "let's sit on this for a while". Nothing I've ever heard or read about him makes that a likely story. But who knows.
I make the point, and you & Race get the upvotes for agreeing with me.

They used the FISA courts to use the bullshit - that they knew was bullshit - from the Steele Dossier to persuade FISA judges to grant their warrants to spy on Trump's campaign. No judge wants to be wrong in a possible terrorism or national security situation, and they rely on sworn affidavits from lawyers and witnesses as the fig leaf of legitimacy if the shit-storm later blows in or blows up in their faces.

HRC and Comey should be indicted. What they did was far worse and far more corrupt than Watergate. Far worse.

Duh. There was no way this thing was concluding before midterms. They ran out of Rats long before that however. If Muellers team had any integrity, it would have been concluded in October.
