You don't think Trump built his whole platform on the premise that the media is the enemy of the state? That's been the Conservative chant since Rush in the 90s carried through to Fox news.

More like the mouthpiece of the state

AOC attacks the media too like most politicians including Obama

Only Trump is a threat to democracy though

Trump, and Rush, are wrong about that. But the media have fucked so many things up in the last 24 months that they are playing into that narrative. And that's a completely unforced error. With all the preposterous shit Trump says, a simple recitation of in print moves copies. He makes it easy. Instead, well, refer to that Russiagate essay from a couple days ago.

I'll concede that the media is shit. Agreed?

Ok, here's a serious question. Fox news screamed for years about Obamacare will crater the economy, death panels, so many other lies. Hell they even blasted Obama for killing bin ladin. And they are the most watched cable news Network. I always wonder why the side that listens to that, never questions those lies but blasts CNN and such.

To be fair, that's why I generally read both sides. Not that the internet news is any better, but you can see both sides and make your decision from there.

On Obamacare the only one saying it will crater the economy is you. Fox did report that Obama lied out his ass about keeping your doctor and your insurance at a 2500$ savings

And government care has to be rationed same as private insurance. Call it what you want but death panels is not inaccurate

No one blasted Obama for single handedly going in and killing Obama. Pretty sure if W said we got him but uh we dumped the body the left would have a fit

Obama was also criticized for using intel methods he ran against to get Bin Laden and for sitting around wringing his hands and almost blowing it

There is no comparison to what we are going through now

FOX is not perfect but there is a reason they are the most watched

    I question everything unlike you

Your but but but buthurt over Obama is pitiful

You always use Fox v. CNN/MSNBC in your arguments about journalistic bias. I know it makes it easier. But you shouldn't. Cable news is a poor source for much of anything. AP/Reuters and the major newspapers do most of the real work and set the agenda. Not always, but usually.

Fuck it, I don't want to write anything more about this.

Just when you thought you were out

Back in the day the NY Times, the Washington Post and the three network news broadcasts led by Cronkite set the news. They all had the same stories day after day

Then talk radio and cable news dug into their monopoly and now finally twitter and facebook

We now all have the opportunity to hear only what we want to hear. We set our own agenda

Good or bad it is what it is

Some of us here aren't exactly Fox and friends viewers so trying to grab a tu quoque gotcha ain't exactly going to work either.

I haven't watched cable news for "news" since Election Night 2016. I still miss Red Eye on FNC very much and occasionally watch Gutfeld's show off DVR.
