I couldn’t tell you as I retired in 2013. I know Trump deferred to the Generals to run the ops, more than the previous administration, so any actual war fighting was likely very effective. Conversely, he was more conservative in which battles we participated in. If he decided to wipe out ISIS then I’m inclined to believe the troops were given the leeway to make that happen (within the constraints of the Geneva Convention and ROE of course).
