Of note, after he blew up last month at the LA opening, Jimmy & Harris followed him and his parents the next day. Took some time for the offer, which makes me think they really want him up for the spring but he wasn’t likely to visit unofficially without an offer.
As a WIL, I could see him in our D. He's basically an athletically gifted Keishawn Bierria body type. However, his film is like watching someone learn to play madden on easy.
He moves fast, but he wastes a lot of time and space going in the wrong directions. I'm sure he'd be good eventually for us... I like other WILs this cycle a lot better. I guess the whole thing rests on whether we feel like we can coach him to know what he's doing.
The problem is intuition is such a big part of football... toss up for me.
"It's a big offer for me," Williams told Dawgman.com. "(Bob Gregory) said he’s been watching me for a long time and he’s talked to a lot of people about me and he loves my film and he feels that I would fit perfectly in his defense."
"I know Trent (McDuffie) really well and I've known Terrell Bynum and Sean (McGrew) for a while too, so I have some guys I know up there already," Williams said. "Now that they've offered, I definitely want to get up there and check it out.”
It’s been amazing to hear all the local kids loving each other up, talking about what it would be like to be home town heroes, how it would feel to put it on for their city.
Then we there is all of the island kids and the mainland poly kids mentioning the poly culture being grown and how it feels like a home away from home in Seattle.
But there is a special place in my pants when kids from SoCal are able to name drop players on the roster that they are close with. It worked with McDuffie this last cycle. It worked with Irvin two cycles ago. I need this to be cultivated more to where it isn’t a question that a SoCal kid knows that not only is UW going to develop him more than USC, but he can play with other SoCal kids he knows the same way Poly kids and local kids feel right now.

Our coaching staff can turn that into something. Or he might be the next Milo. EWIWBI.

Also he looks black black so he's not coming here.
He might be relying a lot on his athleticism, but the athleticism shows up. That's one of the main things you look for in high school film.

Natural athleticism like that is always a great thing as the coaches can work on the instincts and brain.
