Fuck this. So tired of the 'we didn't start from the same spot'. Well, no shit.

The Throbber didn't start from the same "spot" as 95% of the Jews in this country. Their parents said "Be a Doctor", "Be An Lawyer", "Be A CPA". Throbber's parents said "just don't get arrested". No real estate holdings, just good parents. The Throbber was the exact same spot as pretty much all the people in his peer group - of all fucking colors and below-wealthy economic status. Some of us figured it out. Some of us didn't. Some are in dead or in prison.

It wasn't because any of us had any fucking head start or a leg up. The ones who made good choices, got decent education or training and applied themselves have done fine. The ones who didn't - they sit around and bitch about how 'lucky' the rest of us are. Fuck them. They wanted to frame houses right out of high school and drove the fancy pick 'em up trucks. Those of us who went to school drove beater pieces of shit until we could afford something adequate. Hell, the framers/bartender/trades guys probably outearned me for most of my twenties - then shit started kicking in.

Sick of this 'reparation', life just isn't fair. The Throbber came from a family of immigrants. My grandfather was a grave digger. A FUCKING grave digger. You know how low on the occupational/income scale a grave digger is? It is right below shit and above rock bottom.

Either man up that life isn't fair, work hard and take advantage of opportunities presented. Nobody has anybody chained to a sewing machine or shackled in the cotton fields these days. What the fuck did The Throbber's descendants have to do with that? They didn't - they weren't even fucking in this country or one that was involved in the slave trade. Christ.

The Throbber is acquainted with a kid who's made some questionable choices -nearing 25 years old now. But he's getting his shit together and will be going to a Pac-12 university next fall on a Pell Grant -he gets shitloads of Pell money because he's Native (Hi Swaye). The Throbber's white kids are exactly the same age group and paid full boat out of their pocket (read: The Throbber's pocket/moderate student loans he is paying).

So tell me again how the Native kid is behind the 8 ball in terms of opportunity to make something of his life? And - trust me - I'm ecstatic that he's taking advantage of that opportunity and willing to put in the work to get out of his situation. But he's not laying around whining about how the white man scalped his great-great-great-great grandfather. He's seizing upon it. Good on him. Those kind of resources are out there for those who are having a tough go of it -but most of 'them' don't want to put in the work associated with it.

So fuck the fuck off Kamilla. Enjoy the next 12 years of the Trump Dynasty. Ivanka is hotter than you any way.
