Continues to be a bit of fumbler as an orator, but we? all knew that and he's not the first and won't be the last.

Aside from the National Emergency, which I hear has adequate coverage in the Tug, what's the hot take on his digression into drugs? We have a few libertarians here who might have a view on this. Death penalty for drugs like China!

In all seriousness, Trump does have a special hard on for drugs. For all of his self-indulgences, everything I've ever read about him suggests that he's pretty scarred by what drugs and booze did to his brother, and has a result has not been one to partake. I'm guessing this comes from there a little.

I'm not big on state-sponsored death, but that's me. And if I were, I'm not sure I'd crank it up to get drug dealers. I'm sure bobsled has another take.

That said, I'm sure it would curb drug availability sharply if enforced.

Did he give a big *sniiiiiiffffffffff* after every other sentence?

The moral majority faction of this board will love his stance on drugs.

Seriously, whatever else you can say about him, I don't think Donnie has ever been a user. His brother basically drank himself to death and that will leave a mark. 1/2 the people will follow suit, and the other half will go 180.

How about 15 years hard labor. Bring back the chain gangs. Killing then might be too good for them.

If you’re a conservative & suspicious of government overreach, you ought to be suspicious of the death penalty.

    But Trump is a Democrat.
