Had this EXACT same scam pulled on my 80+ parents. Scammers were incredibly smooth, organized. Local, national and international.

Once they get into you, there will be a team of 10-15 calling you every 10 seconds, around the clock, for weeks/ months. Mail delivery comes by the basket load, daily, until the USPS stops delivering your mail altogether.

Audit showed they lost $46,000 plus.

There are NO resources we little people have to combat this. This is simply, Organized crime.
