Right or wrong. In the deep South that shit was accepted back then. Whether R or D, I have a hard time putting values the way they are now on people for shit in the 70/80s. In the 70s, black people couldn't eat at the same restaurant or drink from the same water fountain in some places.

Mistreating a women is another deal, I feel we can all agree that should never happen regardless of the era.

You really haven't lived until you've been surrounded by Confederate reenacters on Monument Boulevard in Richmond, Virginia on Lee-Jackson-King Day.

I will...all of them were retarded but why wasn’t this brought up 30 years ago? Quite frankly, neither of them should resign. It was wrong and insensitive but it was socially acceptable back then, it’s not socially acceptable now. There’s a difference in doing that 30 plus years ago and doing that today.

I didn't grow up in the south but black face wasn't acceptable in the 60s

Should a politician today be held accountable for the 80s? At the very least it's a legit campaign issue

    Have to think about resignation

Keep in mind a whole slew of entertainers have it on their record much more recently

I can't understand anyone thinking it was cool

Applying the latest lefty race baiting morals to 30 or more years ago is stupid.

Agree on all counts, though my mind is made up on resignation. That is ultimately a personal decision. They were voted in, they can be voted out at the next term elections or by recall elections if the voters of Virginia want to hasten the process.

Can't wait for Hondo to pull a claim right out of his ass. I never said anything about the Gov. wearing black-face. I criticized your bullshit that him wearing black face in college when he was 25, was comparable to Kavanaugh's under-age high school drinking but I never blasted him for wearing black-face. Another day another lie from Hondo the pathological liar.

So help me to understand the Kunt logic here Hondo. If the Rat Gov. of Virginia wears black-face, if some state Senator from Virginia has also been shown to wear black face I need to comment on that fact even if I didn't say shit about the Gov. wearing black face in the first place.

I think as late as the 1960s while uncomfortable, black face was more acceptable then you might realize. I especially think that it was among the college Frat scene.

I seem to recall quite a view variety TV shows with entertainers still wearing black face.

There was a scene from Mad Men where Roger and his wife wore black face at their party. I think it might have happened more than you realize.

I grew up in rural Oregon but I watched a lot of TV. I just seem to recall Judy Garland and other Celebs wearing black face in early 1960s TV shows.

Yeah, and there was no Social Security in the 1950s. What a dipshit.
