Her stiff arming AOC so publicly is going to be interesting must see TV this year for the Dems. If she doesn't support AOC's deal and instead goes with a more watered down (but passable version) I think all the youth movement progressives are going to have visions of the machine that screwed over Bernie in favor of Hillary. I pray for a revolt and intra-party warfare. I like to watch things burn.

Pelosi is right. The green new deal, in its current form is just a blank check with no plan. Market forces are already pushing us towards renewables and large scale adoption of electrical vehicles. The grid is already having a tough time coping with influx of solar because of the inability to store electricity in large quantities.
I'm saying this as someone who is a strong believer that we need to invest more heavily in next gen energy R&D but at this stage it needs to be targeted. Put forward a plan that specifically targets investment in batteries and grid modernization. The industry needs a a few technological leaps before it can realistically take on what the green new deal wants to do.
