"Twistin' the Night Away" isn't far behind
And then you throw in a song that is as different as the "Chain Gang" and is also a massive classic
There are obviously others ...
And then when you look at movies, you have Animal House with "Twistin' the Night Away" vs The Blues Brother and "RESPECT" ... Animal House wins every day ... and I LOVE The Blues Brothers
It's the same dilemma we faced with country- i.e., the choices are painful. I don't think Sam Cooke should blow out Aretha or vice versa. I agree that Sam Cooke in Animal House is some of the most timeless soundtrack music ever used on film. But Aretha's greatness in the later 60s is truly outstanding. She's one of the greatest female vocalists of all time, rather easily.
