Only 6 percent of taxpayers are expected to have wages accurately withheld, while 73 percent are likely to have their taxes overwithheld. The former is three percentage points less than a simulation conducted using the same withholding structure and the old tax code.
79% were accurate or will get a bigger refund
Big scoop there hondo
And we all got tax cuts -
Last year was a mess. My quarterlies were off. I wrote a fat check so I wouldn’t go to prision or be murdered by the government for not giving them money. This year, I kept my quarterly theft the same as last year and my accountant predicts they won’t steal more from me in April.

Dumbfuck - How much is withheld has no bearing on the tax owed. HTH2001400ex said:I feel I said this a couple days ago. And of course was mocked by the financial gurus on the board. But here it is in all its Glory. They even are waiving the penalty for having to owe too much.

So what changed from yesterday when you said your income stayed the same but you paid 34% less in tax? Were you lying then or you lying now?MikeDamone said:Last year was a mess. No shit. But there are a lot of taxpayers that don't think about it that way. -

Why let the gubmint keep your money all year? Pay it by the tax deadline.
Christ, you take weird victory laps.

I said that exact same thing in the other thread. I prefer to owe money. But I'm not the general public.PurpleThrobber said:

This isn't a victory lap. This is commenting on what's going on right now that people are starting to realize. Some people will be pissed.
