True, but UW has an NFL TE track record right now, and he has family on the team. I like our chances head to head vs. Tenn. Bama might be the bigger threat.Domicillo said:

I'm not worried about Tennessee. I think we have plenty of advantages.Domicillo said: -

He’s doing the full circuit of visits just as his uce tuitele did. He will still be a dawg in the end.KrunkJuice said: -

All we need now is Loy saying he’s a ND lean and I’ll officially place my crystal dong to udubKrunkJuice said: -
Looking right at the Dub. ITB.

This should be Paopao's last chance. If he can't pull this kid with the factors weighing in our favor (TEs getting drafted, Poly movement, connection with Fautanu) then it's time to cut him loose.

Holy fuck, that is some sort of list of schools.GrundleStiltzkin said:
Fucking good for you Moliki. -
Here's why it's a good list. The two biggest bullshit recruiters, Cristobal and Taggert, are not on there. Implies a very mature kid that has a future vision farther out than 10 minutes. Pete's pitch should resonate well.

Doesn't look like they're planning to get rid of PowpowDoogCourics said: -
Paopao only recruited one of those four guys (Sample), and that was after missing out on his eight other TE offers that year.dnc said:

Paopao is on the malloe playbook.
Coaching good (we assume) but recruiting needs serious work.
Lest we forget that everyone wanted malloe fired for poor recruiting a few years back. Once malloe got his mojo working then attitudes changed.
I can see Peterman doing the same thing for paopao. It's a show me soon or risk being let go to learn the recruiting trade somewhere else. -
He’s been here twice as long as Malloe...animate said:Paopao is on the malloe playbook.

yeah, but he got married last year (peterman probably doesn't want to fire people who've just got married - bad look) and paopao has compromising pics of peterman and a horse so ..... but regardless, the one year contract tells alot.Domicillo said:

"Troy (Fautanu) and I talk all the time and Faatui Tuitele is my cousin, my middle name is actually Faatui, so I already have a connection there, but it's about more than just that," Matavao said. "I want a place I can call home and a place where I have great relationships with the coaches and the players. That's why I'm taking these visits.
"(Tuitele) told me the atmosphere up there is live and beautiful and I need to get up there and see it for myself, so I'm excited to get up there."
Reminder for anyone who didn’t remember his ties to the program. -
This guy shouldn't be a super difficult get, but with him and Redman in back to back classes plus development it'd be hard to hate on PowPow for what he has done with the TE's.
That isn't to say his recruiting doesn't need to improve - missing on 5 of your top 6 in a cycle is brutal and can't happen at a top program, no one is denying that. But I'm not going to hate him if he gets good players and develops them. This is a big step towards getting good players. -
we need 2 TE in each class. getting one good TE is not cutting itjhfstyle24 said:This guy shouldn't be a super difficult get, but with him and Redman in back to back classes plus development it'd be hard to hate on PowPow for what he has done with the TE's.

Don’t worry, guys, our Hawaiian OG Tuitele is on it.

"What stood out to me was all the alumni and NFL players at the game; that was really cool," Matavao told 247Sports. "Jermaine Kearse talked to us and told us about his experience at Washington. We also got to meet Dante Pettis and Kam Chancellor. I got to talk with coach Jordan Paopao for a while and it was before the game, so we broke down some film and just talked.
"I also had the chance to go talk with coach Chris Petersen, so that was real good. The game day atmosphere is crazy there. They have a great fan base and student section, they have “boat-gating” and it’s loud there. Overall it was a great visit. I do feel like a priority to them so I'm definitely maintaining that contact with the staff." -
Angulo:
“It is shaping up to be quite the Dawgs vs Dawgs battle for this elite 2021 tight end. I know UGA has a lot of momentum but the Huskies did a great job this weekend to make Matavao once again feel at home in Seattle so this duel is certainly one to monitor closely“ -
