    Why should government workers be treated any differently than any other workers who are laid off. These people are going to get all of their back pay. That doesn't happen in the private sector. Suck it up, you can get a zero interest for 9 months Credit card and put all of your expense on that during the shut down and then just pay it off when you get your back pay. Enough with the sob stories.

    It's almost as if some of these folks were living above their means, didn't pay their bills while working and didn't save anything for a rainy day and now can't even get a credit union credit line bump.

    When you have a job that you know it's almost impossible to get fired from and you don't really worry about retirement because you're covered by a public employee pension I'd bet that has to increase the number of people who live and spend well beyond their means.

    Government work is the only real noble line of work. TSA should have never been government employees. Thank Bush for that one.
