I hate the one and done thing. Michael Porter might be good in the NBA, but had a nothing college career. Spencer Hawes got mono and missed half the season. Fultz played on a really bad team. Point being, you better be a really good team for a one and done to really matter and you have to hope he stays healthy. Rare that you have a Carmelo situation.
I don't follow basketball closely, as many of you know, but I do find it hysterical that all I ever heard for years was while Romar couldn't coach worth a lick you couldn't fire him because he is the only human who has ever lived that could get 4 stars to sign with UW because of his local and west coast connections, and his ability to relate to players (he's black and stuff). Nobody else could ever pull a 4 star here. Ever.
In comes this dude from back East somewhere that doesn't know anybody and is as white as the driven snow. But, he actually knows basketball, and can coach it. Weird huh? Lands Nowell and Wright, both 4 stars, his first class. In 2018 he gets another 4 star in Bey, and then in 2019 he lands another 4 star in Battle and one of the best recruits in program history in 5 star Stewart. And he has won twice as many games as "Roll the Ball Out Romar" would have over the same time frame. Funny.
This post is basically a very long way of telling Jim Basnight and all the other retards out there who will accept glaring mediocrity for any reason to take a flying leap at a rolling donut and then kill themselves. Enemies of the program. And fuckfaces.

Absolutely.
I was saying 5+ years ago that if a hellhole like Lawrence, Kansas can develop a powerhouse in basketball then Seattle can sure as hell do it with the right people in place.
