Baker was their back up to Murao, Hatchett, Majors. I agree with you that we are struggling so fucking much that this doesn’t do anything but they kinda got in on him early before his rankings shot up.FKA_Mousecop said:

He’s really soft but I love Tackles that are good basketball players. Gaard is the number 1 OT on the west coast no if and’s or asses about it. I love that Roger Rosengarten kid out of Colorado, which basically led to the “why are we recruiting Texas?” stuff because Majors was always going to Texas and we were just letting Cristobal get a head start on that guy.
Gimme Murao, Gaard, Geirean, and Rosengarten and I’ll need to call the same doctor as patients who’s Viagra doesn’t wear off after 6 hours. -

Murao is the biggest recruit and if they get Geirean it will help. I honestly think Murao is an NFL All-Pro Center and in our system, pulling and commanding the OL, my lord.
He’s been the most important recruit for Huff for awhile because he was offered earlyyyyyy which is really kinda rare for OL. With the west coast being miserable, he’s in that first tier of fucking fucking fucking important with that one guy, Johnny Wilson, and Jordan Banks. -
Gaard is amazing and is definitely good enough to stick outside, but he's a swing kind of guy. I definitely think they want one of these stretch 6'7" dudes to mold though.LaMichael_Corleone said:

But yeah I didn't really mean we didn't LIKE Baker, it was more that he already ruled us out more than anything, so it would've been no difference had he committed 2 weeks ago.
If we nab Murao and Hatchett I'm happy with this class regardless of who our 4th guy is, but getting Rosengarten vs someone like Caadyn Stephen would put the cherry on top. -

We fucking suck. Nobody wants to come here. The 2020 class as a whole is absolute trash, especially out West. So little top tier talent and most of them are favoring schools outside of the Pac-12 anyway. We don't even have any fucking in-state commits. Every single one of them has to take visits to "make sure" UW is where they want to be. How embarrassing is that? Three straight 10-win seasons. Never been done before at UW and yet they all have to think long and hard if UW is the right place for them. So fucking stupid. This class is going to fucking suck. I doubt we crack the top-20 in national rankings when it's all said and done. The season can't get here soon enough. Such a shitty off season. Thanks Petersen you fucking killjoy.

For some reason I keep hoping kids will start thinking logically like 40-year old accountants with three kids and a mortgage. I think we've got a chance at Murao IF he's smart enough to realize he's probably best off playing inside and IF he's smart enough to realize that the air raid offense might not be the best place to develop into an NFL guard. The NFL is moving to a passing game, but they still want inside guys who can move people and play low hat football when they need to.
Look at last 10 years of the NFL draft for three notable air raid teams and they've only put three actual interior OL into the NFL (two 4th-rounders and a 5th-rounder) in 10 years. -
Honestly if we are going to blitzkrieg recruits with these long range, NFL aspirations, delayed gratification messages, it would probably be infinitely more beneficial to bombard the parents with it. The kids are much more likely to be receptive if they are hearing it repeated from a parent rather than a coach.
