Give me your Government shut down horror stories.

Exactly. If we can so successfully shut down 1/3 of the government, we should obviously take the next step and shut the entire, wasteful, ineffective shitshow down.
California doesn’t need these fucking rubes. -
Could that be because a lot of the government workers are working without a paycheck right now?SFGbob said:So far, I've not noticed any changes in my life on account of the government shut down. How come we're not seeing barricades being put up around the national monuments like we did when Obama was in office? Why it's almost as if they were intentionally trying to inconvenience back then.

Flew out of IAH yesterday. With Terminal B checkpoints closed down (which I was flying out of) I had to go through Terminal C. Was the fastest I've ever been through a checkpoint at IAH ever. Sucked because I thought there would be long delays...I could have gotten another hour of sleep.

Could it be that a lot of what the Federal government does, is superfluous? Pay for the military and pay for the courts. They can get rid of the rest.2001400ex said:

Get your or pre check. I never wait in more then a 5 minute line other than shitty Spokane cause they don't have true pre 80% of the day at either terminal.HoustonHusky said:Flew out of IAH yesterday. You've never flown out of IAH...on a good day pre-check lines are the same length as the normal lines. They usually all blow.2001400ex said:

I flew to San Francisco this last weekend and experienced no delays, but I do wonder about how those TSA agents are doing without their paychecks.
What will be chinteresting is how tax refunds will be handled. The IRS has recalled many of its workers despite the shutdown:

Offsets all the years they received a paycheck and didn’t do any work.2001400ex said:
