Trump to address the nation

That’s not true. Under sanctuary laws, local law enforcement is prohibited from enforcing federal immigration law. Let trump enforce and pay for his own bullshit. Sheriffs and police still enforce criminal activity, which is actionable under state law. Cops and deputies enforce local laws. That’s never stopped. What is being halted is this the mob on the street knee-jerk reaction to deprive people of their civil rights.HFNY said:What are you talking about? Under sanctuary cities, if local law enforcement comes into contact with an illegal immigrant with a known criminal record, they are not allowed to report it to ICE so that the latter can deport them to their home country.
CirrhosisDawg said:
That has nothing to do with sanctuary cities. It’s not about protecting criminals. It’s about protecting citizens and workers from the mob.HFNY said:That's just crazy to me, known criminals who are in the country illegally should be reported to Federal authorities so they can go be criminals in their home countries. Why would you be against that?
CirrhosisDawg said:
Yes, I do. And I support California’s status as a sanctuary state. Federal immigration laws need reform to, at the very least, provide for guest worker programs and a path to citizenship. In the absence of that, and in the face of this mindless and futile nationalistic frenzy for “walls” and deportation, you will get sanctuary cities. It’s not negotiable. It’s fact and the future, as you are hopefully beginning to realize.HFNY said:Ohhh, sick burn!
I actually lived here before it was a sanctuary city, hoping I can help turn it back to normalcy.
Do you support sanctuary cities?CirrhosisDawg said:
Hate sanctuary cities? Don’t live in one. You’re welcome.HFNY said:Trump does have a point regarding illegal immigration and the gang members / human trafficking. A study I read said 80% of the 16th street gang are illegals so why the fuck can't ICE know about them? I hate sanctuary cities, it's a bunch of virtue signaling which puts American citizens in danger.
Which one of these guys do you think came into the country legally? -
So on top of it all, you're a traitor to your country, too. What a surprise.CirrhosisDawg said:

Guest workers and green card holders working toward citizenship would all be here legally. Until that is in place, there will be sanctuary cities. It’s up to you when that ultimately happens.RaceBannon said:

First half of the speech will be the typical Stephen Miller penned fear mongering, racist, dark speech full of lies and exaggerations about the "crisis" at the border. Then we'll transition to the typical Trump senile old man rambling about his election win, the fake news, Dems, and whatever else is on his mind. @SFGbob and the rest of the Trump ballwashers will be masturbating furiously throughout.

Well he talked to them about the wall. And they told him to build it. So there's that.RaceBannon said:

Opposing illegal immigration isn't just a "working class" issue. I care more about my fellow American citizens be they working class or upper class than I do illegals.
You care about yourself and your desire to exploit that illegal labor.
