If Eason started at QB, would the result have been any different?
Obviously, control for other variables like prep time, etc.

Maybe Eason is not FS enough to opt to go with the pass on RPO plays. And even if he does opt to go with the pass, he throws nice accurate passes with some velocity on them. On top of that, he's a big motherfucker, so he'll stand in the pocket and absorb some hits instead of running around like a retarded giraffe.
In short, maybe Eason would have done better running the offense. Maybe he's not a selfish cunt like Browning. -

Words is that Eason is one of only about 10 guys with an arm like his. The other 9 are in the NFL. -
I don't know shit about what is or isn't the correct read, and I sure as hell couldn't tell when I was drunk in the corner of the end zone. But I could see Jake making the "correct" read in terms of box count and alignment, keeping on the RPO, and the play resulting in an incompletion, sack, catch for loss of 5, whatever. Then they throw on the film and he justifies the decision based on the rules on paper; eight men in the box, I had to keep it.PurpleBaze said:Maybe Eason is not FS enough to opt to go with the pass on RPO plays. The issue with this is that football isn't played on paper. Myles is (was 😥) the one player that was a true game breaker for the offense. How many times should he have been stopped for a loss of 3 but turned it into something positive? He makes things happen by being a fucking baller, not by going off of rules drawn up in the film room.
I think Eason forces OSU to play straight up honest defense, and in turn allows Myles to do his thing because he's actually given the opportunities. -
After yesterday, I’m done with the magical thinking on Skinny.

I really think Browning could put some more velocity on his throws if he fixed his pelvic tilt. If you look at pictures he has a big sway in his lower back. Pictures of Eason show a beautiful vertical alignment. I know Browning is gone and you guys are real happy about that but I would really like to see that try hard succeed. I have heard he has a commitment to being good at football and sometimes edging out that tiny margin at the more competitive levels is an inward journey.

I would really like to see him end up in a homeless camp in downtown Seattle.Gwad said:I really think Browning could put some more velocity on his throws if he fixed his pelvic tilt. He would have completed that pass to Fuller at the end of the first half.
-
Short answer yes it’d be different because we could actually have challenged OSU defense in the passing game. Long answer has a lot more to do with coaches ability to nueter the talent with scheme and playing to win more instead of being so passive trying not to lose the game.

He whiffed on that slant.DawgFader said:He would have completed that pass to Fuller at the end of the first half.
