So if a republican senate and house kicked the can of the wall for 2+ years, how are folks now trying to blame democrats? Not only did Trump say mexico would pay for the wall over and over and over again, but then they couldn't get it done with all three branches of government. Talk about mismanagement of resources.
Yes, democrats don't want the wall in the way Trump wants it because it's 2018(almost 19) and there are many more effective ways to police the border plus we all know how construction projects go in the federal government. If you really think it' going to only cost $5B someone is selling you a massive bill of goods. -

Even with the House and the Senate they still would have needed 60 votes. They should have put the funding for the wall in the very first budget bill Trump signed. He had far more leverage then, than now. Pelosi and Schumer COULD go on offense and ramrod a comprehensive immigration reform bill up Trumps ass. Allocate $25 Billion. Call it infrastructure Investment for Transitioning Immigrants toward CITIZENSHIP in the United States.
