As much as I’d like to see that matchup... Notre Dame is more than fully booked for their 2022/23 schedule.
Our most likely opponents for a neutral site game: Arkansas Iowa Florida St LSU
Also Florida and Georgia have 2023 openings
Ya I did a lot of schedule mapping last night trying to find a game with ND but they don’t have a lot of openings until 2027. But ND is seriously leveling up the quality of their opponents too (will have seasons where they play Ohio State and Clemson), so the idea of them every playing more than 5 games on the road is also pretty much dead unless the NCAA makes a requirement for CFP participants to have played 13 games.
If Stanford and USC were smart they would cancel their series with Notre Dame and get them out of Cali. Hurts USC, Stanford and everyone else in the PAC12 in recruiting. GTFO.
We should keep playing SEC teams until we get it right
ND is now a quasi ACC team with two Pac 12 annual opponents. Going to be tough to play them outside of the playoffs or a fresh bowl.
ND may someday have to get in the ACC full bore so they have a championship game opportunity
They should have played Clemson this year. Having both in the playoffs is stupid especially since Clemson is going to curb stomp them
This This fucking this. If it wasn't for their national following they would have been told to fuck off for only beating shit SC, shit Furd and no CCG.
