Anyway, a HC's recruiting ties are overrated. Assistants do most of the recruiting and the HC comes in to close. Plenty of outstanding coaches over the years have succeeded in places where they previously had little in the way of recruiting ties in that team's recruiting footprint. Urban at Florida, Saban as LSU, McCartney at CU and the list goes on. -
