I highly doubt that He would. Bama, despite its tradition, was a 2nd level job when He took over S.C. Unlike now,They were way down the trough of a place that top Southern Croots would go. Back then it was all Miami, Florida, FSU, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas and others that were more attractive schools to go to.
