If we play it at the home team we're the MAC the league that can't fill a neutral site stadium like the other leagues
That's your pride talking. We already look like the equivalent of the MAC. Do you prefer a sold out and raucous Husky Stadium hosting the championship, or a half empty cavernous stadium in Santa Clara?
Perhaps having more than 2 bars within a $30 cab ride from the stadium at a neutral field would make sense. Preferably ones that open before 2 pm for a 5pm rush hour kickoff. Fuck you.
Early Friday was dumb af. Already hard to get to and made it that much harder. I had enough trouble getting home from work in time for kickoff let alone if I had traveled to the game.

Just kill the CCG. If you play it at the home field, it will be 99% "full" of the home school's fans. Can you imagine trying to get to Tucson on a week's notice? Pass.
The problem is the culture out west. Football is dying.

This. I think it is kind of an "All of the Above" type deal though.
All inside jokes aside, 70 inch TV's, wimpy "I'm with her" west coast lets go watch MLS mentality, distance between schools in the conference, the poor state of football in the conference right now, and horrible Pac-12 management issues (Friday late afternoon game at a neutral site in a traffic congested shithole 33 miles from the airport) all combine to make this CCG an absolute national joke.
You can fix the game time and location issues, and for huge games with marquee teams when the conference is strong shit like 70 inch TV's won't matter. But for a game between two 9-3 teams with no historical rivalry it just isn't must experience football, especially out west in the land of the peace love and trail mix types.

Vegas is an easy drive from LA and has lots of rooms
If you get highly ranked USC and UW playing for a CFP berth you could probably fill Santa Clara and sure could Las Vegas or Inglewood
Texas and OU will sell out if they are both Owen 12
But the West is the wide open spaces. Dallas is an easy shot from Oklahoma and it is in Texas as noted elsewhere
To keep doing what we're doing will continue to diminish the Pac-12. The conference needs to take a different approach.
It all starts by firing the tennis queer.
Nope. It starts by actually having PAC 12 presidents who are football fans. If there is a problem you always look upstairs first. PAC 12 presidents employ this loser. It is on them because football is not a priority in this conference. Hard to blame em because football in the West is not a fan priority either. One big vicious circle.

And furthering the negative feedback loop, P12Net isn’t throwing off enough money.

Yep. As Canzano has stated in his excellent PAC 12 series, we will be 60 million behind the other conferences when this abortion of a TV deal expires. That's lot of coffee cups. Petersen has actually overachieved given the financial constraints he is up against. Oregon with it's sugar daddy donations is the only one in the conference that can financially compete and they have underachieved their dollar advantage.

I think just having it on Saturday would go a long way here.

The pac 12 will be the first major conference to ban football.
Tennis is cool. But it goes to another level when you combine tennis, hookers and blow. You should try it.
