To be serious for a moment.... Isn't Clay Helton's background that of OC/QB coach? So the big fix for USC now that you've not doubt got the right guy for HC is to keep him as far away from his area of expertise as possible by bringing in a hired gun OC to run the offense? Sounds like you've got the wrong HC.
And I guess it's great that USC is embracing the modern offense, but I wonder if that will further feed their recent inclination to try to out-athlete teams with skill position guys instead of developing the lines. My initial take is that like WSU, when things are clicking they will feast on lesser teams, but there will be a few games per year when it's not clicking vs. a better defense and it gets shut down, despite (as always) having better players than their opponent. -
I see them bringing in a head coach to be an OC which will lead to authority issues.... this is a very weird decision by SC...if they get him, that is.

I don't see USC going all in on the Air Raid even if KKK is hired. Would they really want to change their entire offensive philosophy just because they hired an OC that will probably be a head coach again in a couple years?
