    Why do you think the liberal controlled states fought so hard against doing a check for citizenship against their voter registration rolls? There is nothing stopping someone here in California who isn't a citizen from registering and voting other than their word. You're asked to put your signature on the voter registration card attesting that you're a citizen. That's all the check that is made.
