    Thanks for what specifically?

for committing for anywhere from 2-50 years of their life and occasionally getting shot at, shooting back, dying, killing, maiming and doing it for the most part legally as sanctioned by our government officials?

Even the ones who got a free education, then paid to do a job, and spent their time in the military as a dentist or delivering mail? Or just the ones who actually fucking did something?

There hasn’t been a veterern who “fought for our freedom” in 70 years. The rest are just made up political bullshit wars that cost thousands of lives of our young people who were in their prime. It’s sick , but we need to pump it up to compensate for how shitty they were treated during Vietnam.

While I think there’s a pearl of truth in what you’re saying, I believe the maintenance of a well armed military, even in peacetime, is vital to the security of our country. I don’t think it’s wrong to give the troops (and their families) a shout-out for everything they do every once and awhile.

A toast to the troops. All the troops. Both sides.

my simple original post was meant to be a little shout out like you elegantly stated - at times I forget where I am poasting. Shit poaster on a shit site explains it all.
