Given your hyperventilation over a few examples at the state level and extrapolating them into the GOP Congress weaken civil rights, women’s rights, voting rights, and other protections because of their backward judicial philosophyI'd say the response was more intelligent than the initial statement deserved.

Btw, I'll bet you $100 that if I took the time to dig into some of the claims you made you're not being honest about them.

And yet even as Capitol Hill has weakened itself, the Senate has retained one critical function: confirming those many judicial nominees who rule on those many partisan lawsuits. From the Supreme Court to the federal circuit courts, America’s senators are choosing the elite group that has dictated and will continue to dictate the nation’s future.

None of this is to say the House is wholly without power. Democrats will almost certainly use their majority to launch investigations of Trump and the Republicans, or even start impeachment talks against the president.

But make no mistake, governing power now sits in the Senate vis-a-vis the judiciary.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, that’s incredibly bad news. On Tuesday, Republicans added to their once-slim Senate majority with what will likely be five new seats when the final votes are counted.

Make no mistake, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky will put that additional firepower to work. He and his colleagues have already confirmed Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court bench, with a clear eye on replacing the aging Justices Ginsburg and Breyer.

Additionally, Republicans will continue adding to the already impressive 29 circuit court judges confirmed during Trump’s first two years. That’s a record for any modern president.

Smart Democrats are bitterly aware of this development, with the minority recently lashing out at McConnell for pushing through judicial nominees while the Senate was technically in recess.

Me - this is not good for the country long term regardless.

Law by lawsuit is no way to go through life

What the hell, I guess it’s ok if states want to reduce the amount of polling places in highly populated minority neighborhoods, or turn native Americans away from the polls because they don’t have “the right ID,” or not allow Spanish speaking voters to bring an interpreter (which actually happened even though it’s allowed under the law).

Something to be really proud of.

Uhhh...it’s already happening. Every example that I just used is happening in different parts of the country.

Do you not read the news, or only Fox News? Oh,’that’s right, it’s all fake and the people impacted are just whiners.

God I love trump supporters. There is no truth except what lies in their own comfort zone.
    I'd hide under my bed.
Or in your case you could just stay in the closet.

judges should never be legislating from the bench. They should be basing their rulings on the law.

Too many, like most appointed by Inslee, were never good lawyers, but were loyal partisan ass-kissers who don't let little things like the Law interfere with their paybacks.
Shouldn’t you be fixing your truck?
    Already did.

But I know you couldn't change a tire, Nancy.

And that's why your father hates you. You're the daughter he never wanted.

I don't like Cruz at all, but it's kind of a smart strategy to kindly ask aging conservative judges to retire, so you can replace them with younger conservative ones to secure long standing control.

Why are Democrats so personally and emotionally invested in their candidates? Lots of Rs are cutthroat mother-fuckers, as are many Ds. But sometimes the times call for an assassin who can execute tasks that need to be executed. Keeping HRC out of the white house was one of those tasks, and I'm glad it happened, even though I voted for Bill and Barak, twice each.

But today it seems like way too many Ds just want another Nanny or Mommy to make everything comfy and supposedly better, when all that ever does is make things worse. I don't get the emotional investment in politicians at all. 99.9% of them would stab you in the back, fuck your mate behind your back, steal your wallet and lie about it to your face, whether they are a D or an R. Who doesn't know that?

The confirmation hearing would be worth the price of admission. The Senate usually takes care of their own but not likely in this case

I'm not saying they should try to confirm Cruz...hell no. No way would I be ok with Cruz, I was speaking about younger conservatives in general.

You don’t even realize what a moron you are. This is about appointing right wing judges to the federal judiciary. The senate confirms these judges.

Then when states disenfranchise voters (which happened AGAIN this election cycle), the aggrieved voters bring lawsuits to the federal courts under constitutional law. That is how the senate impacts the rights of people that are violated by state law and procedures.

Stick to crying about all the racial injustices endured by white men. You’re better at that.

Nobody is being disenfranchised from voting. You're a drama queen. Provide me with a link of some of the cases you cited. I'll expose you for the gullible dumbfuck you are. I'll guarantee you the "facts" as you presented them are bullshit and I'll also guarantee that there is no widespread systematic voter suppression going on

If you let illegals vote you are disenfranchising citizens

And that isn't The GOP doing that

They would if they thought illegals would vote for them. The GOP just accepts the cheap labor and the destruction of good paying jobs like construction
