I don't think they're for real. A playoff team, for sure, but not a contender. They can do some really interesting stuff offensively but they're not good enough defensively.
I did see a someone mention them being interested in Asik. That would give them a huge jump. I think they could compete with anyone, in the West, in a seven game series. But being able to win three straight rounds in the playoffs and being competitive is a completely different thing.
The Blazers are two moves away from being able to beat anyone in seven games. They need another veteran post that can log 15-18 quality minutes a night and one more reliable bench scorer. I though Wright was going to be the #2 behind Mo, but he's proving to be a turd so far.
I lied. Went to Captain Phillips with my Dad on a chilly November evening in a sea of Seattle hipsters.
How the fuck did they lose to the Suns?
The Suns aren't terrible. Goran Dragic might be the most underrated player in the league.
The Suns will fall off as the year goes on, but they do have some nice pieces. Eric Bledsoe was playing well before he got hurt. I don't know how well him and Dragic can play together. The Morris twins have been solid off the bench, and Frye and Gerald Green are dangerous when they get hot.

Forever average.

They are very fun to watch.
The west is interesting as there are several teams who are good but not one who stands out. Perhaps the Spurs make it back after all.
In the East with the Rose news it's back to being a two team race between Race Bannon's Heat and APAG's Pacers.
