Pete's "4th quarter grind it out philosophy" changed in a week

After Colorado, Pete basically said we're okay getting in a 4th quarter battle and make one more play/one less mistake than shitty Pac-12 team were playing and win the game that way

Yesterday he blinked first by throwing Haener in there to start a drive from the 11 with two minutes left in the third against Wilcox in his 2nd year as head coach, using many of Sonny Dykes players.

Road wins are "hard" in the Pac-12 as evidence by the fact that this week's 6 home teams average 45k tickets sold with a high of 48k Colorado and low of 40K of Cal and Stanford. Take away 10% no shows and the true butts in seats is closer to 40k or less.

Desperate move. Maybe that smug little punk Browning mouthed off.

Putting Haener in that situation was no win situation. Haener looked pretty nervous and tight. Just how Pete wants his guys playing

Smart move, not desperate. If anything, benching Browning was long overdue. Haener may not have pooped himself if he’d gotten more than 7 minutes previously.
Browning should have been yanked after his sideline pick. Did not like the situation for Haener. Plus hamshit didn't help him either.

I don't disagree with your points

Disagree on it being smart move. Totally agree on getting Haener more reps when we had the chance. Up 28-0 versus BYU in mid third and Browning and 1st team play the next two series into 10 minutes left in the 4th.

Absolutely reasonable for Haener to come in against BYU.

Haener's first pass was right towards me to a wide open receiver on the sideline and the ball dropped harmlessly to the turf 7 yards short

Give him credit his TD pass to Cal was right on the money

Is this when HH faithful blame Pete for doing what they'd been calling for since 2016?
