Seen too many teams blow their wad and too many winners break their hearts -
* ASU gave the script to Stanford on offense; Stanford can execute it better and Shaw can be patient enough to stick with it. Plus, they'll have a size advantage at WR when they want to throw it
* Keep the offense like ASU game; keep using TEs; I still think they should try Ahmed and Gaskin on the field at the same time; play to our? strengths
* To borrow a line from Bart O'Kavanaugh, I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone when I listen to the recruiting portion of the poadcast...in a good way -
Stanford already did this to us last year. Nothing's new with them.AEB said:* ASU gave the script to Stanford on offense; Stanford can execute it better and Shaw can be patient enough to stick with it. Plus, they'll have a size advantage at WR when they want to throw it

DDY, a world where we? have a chance at Bru McCoy and/or Kyle Ford is the only world I want to live in.
The last few decades have been rough on me. I deserve this kind of world. -
Coaches reed this sight. Reminders don't hurt.WilburHooksHands said:

I was already having heart palpations over the possibility of Ford at WR and McCoy at OLB and now you are telling me there's a chance we might take Foskey as a LB too? And with To'To' still a possibility?

McCoy is like a 5% shot. I won't say NO SHOT because USC is stepping all over their dick and I've heard the dad is literally in love with Coach Pete... but basically no shot.UW_Doog_Bot said:I was already having heart palpations over the possibility of Ford at WR and McCoy at OLB and now you are telling me there's a chance we might take Foskey as a LB too? Pretty much the same shit for Ford.
Foskey is running into the same problem with us that everyone else black does: 'yeah, objectively that's a great place, but I want a place that seems welcoming to people with two black parents'
To'oto'o is a hard call. From his top 5, I'd have to think we have the best shot. -
Don't worry, if anything our ratings will go up when the full cast is broadcasting from the spirit world. Only a matter of tim until you kill yourself after getting married to CLS.Swaye said:

I say this everytime but these Thursday drops are killing the game for my cross country flights. I am forever grateful.

For whatever reason I think we are going to have a fair amount of couch sales and grad transfers this year allowing for greater numbers than what we expect
-
The reason will be because our 2017 & 2018 class is substantially better than the guys that’ll be remaining from the 2016 & 2015 classes.Tequilla said:For whatever reason I think we are going to have a fair amount of couch sales and grad transfers this year allowing for greater numbers than what we expect

God I love Pete. Angry Pete, Excited Pete, Emotionless Vulcan Robot Pete, Sarcastic Kickass Presser Pete...abundance.GrundleStiltzkin said:Mad_Son said:
I agree completely. Pete doesn't want emotion, he wants robotic execution. Pete is effective Ty.Dennis_DeYoung said:
I get it, but the reason we start slow is that we—as a program—have no swag. I'm hopeful this will change with Jake leaving.Mad_Son said:So revisiting that first play against utah on the pod, I've come up with a new theory - while Petersen is prone to those sorts of shenanigans I don't think he did it just for the sake of being clever. I think he was trying to manufacture a big play and light a fire since we're a slow starting team. While the impact was exact opposite and put us in a hole I think this was an attempt to address a very specific issue. Of course it is obvious that explosive plays aren't manufactured by just calling a bubble, reverse, or bomb, but are a natural outcome of executing against weaknesses that exist in the defense.
Or maybe Jake gets so angry at us that he actually starts to have a chip on his shoulder and gets some swag. -
Gotta think Chin is gone. He hasn't played a single snap. Might be the only healthy scholarship player that's already used a redshirt to not play a down other than Soderberg. He's another, but that's a given... What's a kicker that can't kick.WeakarmCobra said:

Neal Mike and James Matt! Who would know the difference?

Agree on Chin, Soderburg, James and Neal as obvious couch sale options.WeakarmCobra said:

If Sirmon and Tafisi clearly outplay the other LBs this spring, wouldn’t be surprised if Beavers or Wellington pull a Eifler late spring/early summer. I wouldn’t be shocked at a departure in the secondary or running back room either. -
Isn't Matt James a senior?
Some other possible couch sales are Burleson (buried in the depth chart and can graduate), Scrempos (medical retirement?), Rice (with Ngata, Benning, Amandre and Tryon over him...), maybe Manu or Wellington, whoever is lower on the depth chart. -
QB - we are probably staying pat, though it's somewhat possible Haener leaves.Domicillo said:

RB - McGrew might be on his way out, but I wouldn't bet on it. If Newton passes him, then yes.
WR - Chin, Baccellia, Pounds... I suspect those guys are all in various stages of thinking about leaving. I think Bynum and Ty will start to dominate PT as the year goes on.
TE - Mike Neal is not allowed to play. Not bad for ol' Mikey because his girlfriend is insanely hot and he can sing like an angel.
OL - The merciful end is here with Sosebee and Matt James finally kicking off. I doubt anyone else leave (edit: forgot about Dev).
DL - Scrempos could grad transfer or medically retire. Bowman could probably get some BHS record keeping to bring him back for a sixth year, but I doubt he presses it.
OLB - Myles Rice probably won't love seeing Joe Tryon and Ariel Ngata leave him in the rearview mirror given he's so far from home.
LB - We don't have anyone here, but I pray Manu transfers to Pocatello.
DB - Isaiah Gilchrist might hear the call of the Bobcat.
Soderberg: GET FUCKED. -

Fuck this podcast.

I think Burleson, Neal and Scrempos are for sure gone. The next 3 would be Manu, Rice, Pounds/Baccellia (Grad Transfer).
