Although Washington
wasn't able to convert on the big plays that made have resulted in a win, Sarkisian said he felt pretty good overall about his team's performance. "I thought overall this was a good first football game," he said. "We played hard. I thought both teams played hard. I thought in a lot of areas
we were sloppy, especially in special teams."

“The margin for error for our team in the Pac-10 conference is minimal,” he said. “It’s
frustrating, but it’s not time to abandon ship in what we are doing. We are playing good football.” “I think we were unable to execute on the fringe area (against Arizona State),” Sarkisian said. “We stalled between 30 and 40 yard lines.
If we can convert there, especially early, we’ll do better.”

“Extremely
frustrating," Sarkisian said Monday of the officiating in UW's 51-38 loss, in particular
four calls that went against the Huskies, "but there's nothing you can do about it. We have to be concerned with the things that we can control, and the things that are out of our hands, there's nothing you can do about it."

"It's so
frustrating now looking back at that season," Sarkisian said whole reflecting on the narrow losses. ".… That could have been a much different team
if we had won those."

Steve Sarkisian was annoyed and
frustrated walking out of Autzen Stadium after Washington’s
mistakes turned a chance to showcase the Huskies into an Oregon laugher before the first quarter was even finished.

That the Huskies then made it more difficult on themselves with a
bundle of errors, notably
four turnovers and a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown, made a 24-14 loss to USC that much harder to take. "
Frustrating loss to say the least," coach Steve Sarkisian said after the Huskies fell to 3-3 for the season and 1-2 in Pac-12 conference play.

“Obviously a
frustrating loss. We’re tired of being close; I have to admit it. We’re tire of being close. Played a good UCLA team on the road, and when you play a good team on the road you can’t spot them 14 points. The reality of it was, that’s what we did. We gave them great field position on the first two drives….So, some
self-inflicted wounds that, when you’re playing a good team you can’t afford to do because they are going to earn their own yards their own way. Frustrating in that aspect.
