I think the idea at the Vatican is that the Episcopalians/Anglicans never REALLY left, certainly not from a theological or sacramental standpoint. Holy orders in one is holy orders in the other.

I understand the historical context somewhat for how having a celebrate clergy came about. But in this day and age how can the church think you are going to get anything but a very high percentage a strange dudes as priests with current policy? It's against the laws of nature to not be allowed some sexy time.

Unfortunately the more common avenue of celebrating celebacy is to finger, fondle and fuck alter boys. While the Catholic religion is good at providing charity, it’s also a mafia style operation. I’d say that it’s parishioners would be better served if it was burned to the ground and they seek another sermon.
