So I think "Down Home Funk" is my favorite Richard Groove Holmes cut. Funky, soul jazz with kick ass Hammond B3's and pianos is at the top of my favorite jazz based genres. Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff, Les McCann, Lou Donaldson, et al, all kick ass. Need to get our dear leader @DerekJohnson to put down the needle, spoon, and 50's heroin jazz and get funky with this stuff.
