I should have went with Beastie Boys. Much better party songs and I'm not listening to either by myself.

This should go in controversial opinions, but 80's rap is mostly boom bap garbage. Dre is also extremely overrated. Not a lot of his stuff passes the test of time.

Dre doesn't have a lot of stuff. What does he have, 3 albums and one of them was like 2 years ago? The Chronic holds up chincredibly well, IMO. 2001 had some good chit on it.

He's a legendary producer more than an emcee. And he's the GOAT producer for my money.

Lyrically NWA was more about Eazy and Cube than Dre.
I didn't want to music nerd too hard, but the G Funk rap beats are meh.
Different strokes for different folks, I still doog hard for G Funk.

2001 had a couple of moster hits. Solid album.

Agreed. Still Dre, Chronic 2000 and Forgot About Dre all hold up IMO.

He has more stuff than the two Chronoc albums. Most people never listened because it wasn't any good.
He literally only has three studio albums

I don't even like rap and this shit is embarrassing. Some white dudes from Brooklyn over NWA from Compton. Jesus fucking Christ I hate white people.

@SpiritHorse will not let this stand.

Detox would have been trash. Compton is trash.

Dre is a great, but it's all overrated to me. Dre has been the best at having the best young producers and artists working for them. He's been very influential. Music wise, it doesn't hold up that well to me.

About Dre, even if he has three albums and a few movie songs, they are all top notch. You got big rappers with ten, twelve albums, and if you make a compilation, it's still not as good as Chronic 1.
