    HRYK. The parties should (and they did until 1972) pick the nominee, not the fucking plebes. Out of all of our greatest Presidents, not a one (excepting Reagan) came out of the primary process.

    People forget that more GOP primary voters voted against Trump than for him.
    Imagine there are no Political Parties. it’s easy if you try. Just candidates that run for office and the top 2 slug it out for the November gayme. It would render the big donors clueless on who to give the big war chest to a year and a half before the big gayme. We may actually end up with people qualified to do the job.
    I like the idea in theory, but you know there will still be one candidate that is pro life and pro guns, and another that wants to murder delicious babies and reduce police shootings.
