House speaker Paul Ryan

Disagrees with Race, sledog, OBK, etc. He's not a Trump dicksucker.

Perhaps more important than the media verdict on the news conference was what members of Congress made of it, starting with House Speaker Paul Ryan.

“There is no question that Russia interfered in our election and continues attempts to undermine democracy here and around the world,” Ryan said in a statement. “That is not just the finding of the American intelligence community but also the House Committee on Intelligence. The president must appreciate that Russia is not our ally. There is no moral equivalence between the United States and Russia, which remains hostile to our most basic values and ideals.”

    HRYK. The parties should (and they did until 1972) pick the nominee, not the fucking plebes. Out of all of our greatest Presidents, not a one (excepting Reagan) came out of the primary process.

    People forget that more GOP primary voters voted against Trump than for him.

    Imagine there are no Political Parties. it’s easy if you try. Just candidates that run for office and the top 2 slug it out for the November gayme. It would render the big donors clueless on who to give the big war chest to a year and a half before the big gayme. We may actually end up with people qualified to do the job.

    I think Paul Ryan would be a good President. But He’s done with Politics for now. He’s a hard worker and intelligent. He simply was a victim of playing 2nd fiddle in an election to unseat an encumbent. I’m not saying He beats Obama in ‘12. But He would have had a better shot than Romney.

    I like the idea in theory, but you know there will still be one candidate that is pro life and pro guns, and another that wants to murder delicious babies and reduce police shootings.
