You're talking about the NFL kneelers right? The tactics that the kneelers used was the problem, I don't know about the message because that was never very clear, it ended up getting lost because the tactics that were used galvanized the attention and clouded the message.

The kneelers were free to protest and did. No one stopped them.

Also, protests are great. People are free to do that in America. You know where people weren't free to do that?
