Long-term, by your logic there are going to be a bunch more American jobs since Trumps (temporary) tariffs. After all, Americans buy a boatload more motorcycles than produced in the US currently.

It’s amazing how a big trade deficit works...
Houston didn't read the article and just went to sucking Trump's dick.
Or Harley has had deceasing sales over the last decade and realized the only way to survive is to use cheap labor. Tariffs are just a scapegoat Harley is using to mask the real problem...Nobody buys their motorcycles anymore. This move will save them costs, but they won't survive if they don't innovate. Young riders do not buy their products, while Harley's buyer base continues to die off.

Has to buy time until he gets his talking points from Fox News

Funny how you blame cheap labor on this issue while moving production to Europe. Yet think that tax cuts in America will overcome cheap labor in Asia.

Dumbass.
When did I say tax cuts overcome cheap labor? You seem confused...

One thing which people should learn from this president who represents the likely end of the United States as we know/knew it: statements ended with exclamation points are bullshit by default. Just look to the end of the sentence and see if there is an exclamation point. If there is one, don't waste time reading it.
He's correct when he says it's the beginning of the end. Harley customers bought Harley because of the American aura. Without it, they are as good as dead. Harley's are an inefficient and inferior product today. Harley just gutted the only buying incentive they had.
There isn't a reason to tax them. It's hard to get tax revenue from a net loss. If he slaps a tariff, it won't mean much, because nobody is going to buy their products here.

Very true. The Japanese make more reliable V-Twins and Harley lives in it's past although quality has improved. Harley is all about image and American iron.
