Funny you should mention it but the HH Jake Browning Statue Committee is meeting this Thursday at The Pizza Coup in Woodinville. Meeting begins at 6:30. Please don’t be late.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:I honestly think we should erect a statue for Browning after he graduates. That or a key to the city would suffice.
Look forward to seeing you guys there. -
Jake Browning will go down in UW history as Chris Petersen's foundational QB. The QB who was fundamental to the rise of the program. The QB who set the standard for consistent work ethic on the field, in the film room, and in the classroom. The QB who threw countless touchdowns to 1st round pick John Ross and 2nd round pick Dante Pettis. The QB who helped lead the winning culture that Chris Petersen has built. A culture that Joseph Ngata should be a part of.

Jake Browning, greatest QB in the history of UW football, 2nd best QB in Folsom history

This hasn't been pinned yet?

Jake is the epitome of the program. Always does the right thing, puts the team first and still puts up huge numbers.
You can't forget his deep relationships with people from Folsom, notable Ariel, who he probably calls on a first name basis and a player greatly on the rise.
Jake was once offered a scholarship from Alabama
This year Jake is starting over other heralded qbs including 5 star QB who started for national championship runner up.
Chris Petersen, a two-time national coach of the year saw fit to start Jake for 4 years. He recognizes all the talent Jake is loaded with.
His passes allowed players like John Ross , Dante Pettis and Will Dissly to be drafted to the NFL
His crisp handoffs to Myles Gaskin has led to one of the greatest running back careers in husky history.
Not only is his greatness undeniable but he makes the people around him great. No doubt that for years his legacy will last allowing others who follow to be just as great and greater.
This is why I appreciate Jake

I’m gonna personally recommend him...for the medal of honah.

Jake Browning could have went anywhere, and he came to Washington when we were just a few years removed from @Owen12. Jake always wanted to be a Dawg. That says a lot about him.
We've had a lot of good QB's at UW, but Jake Browning is the very best. The record books will show that after this season.
If you've ever been around Jake, he's shy about his accomplishments. He has an aww shucks attitude and is just happy to help the team. Make no mistake, he's a big time competitor who will slit your throat if that's what it takes to win the game.
I just texted my wife, "Thank God Jake Browning is our quarterback." -

I've been down on Jake more than most here but you'd be a fool if you didn't at least acknowledge that he's one of the top 10-15ish CFB QBs of the past 25 years. I'll always remember him for his sideline toss to Lenius against USC 2015. Or The Point against Oregon in 2016. Combine that with how decorated he was in H.S...legendary.
Can't wait for the season to start. -
Plus only the most beloved Husky players get nicknamed. We have lovingly bestowed on Jake the nickname Brownsocks which is a takeoff on his name plus the fact he wears socks when he plays. We love him.
