    It'll never happen

    The libertarian Northern Californians who are for a new state would still be drowned out by the Bay Area moral cesspool that they loathe

    San Diego would drown out conservative Orange County

    LA would dominate what's left

    Will likely result in more Dem representation in the US Senate

    A massive seismic event at the foot of the Sierra Nevadas causing the concurrent destruction of NoCal and SoCal is what I'm banking on.

    Either shake the shit out of them or drop that portion of Cali into the Pacific - I'm flexible either way.
