The directv thing is the main reason I think he sucks.
Night games and crappy slots I don't have a problem with because frankly he recognized the patheticness of PAC fanbases and knew that we would get smoked trying to compete with the big 10 or sec for viewership.
I dont even care that no one east of colorado can see pac games because no one east of colorado gives a fuck about the pac.
It's just retarded that bars IN pac 12 country cant show pac games.
He should have been fired the second he couldn't get OU and Texas. People with a vision rarely have success when they are asked for an alternate path.
Instead we are shackled to two shitty teams that meant the PNW gets USC once every World Cup, every game that doesn't start at midnight is on a network no one gets, and there is clearly no plan to make any real progress.
The Pac-12 today is closer to the Mountain West than it is to the SEC. He's doing a great job though.
Bullshit. Oklahoma and Texas have no business in the pac
Maybe, but neither does ASU and UA...
WVU has no business in the Big XII, but they are there. Are we arguing that Colorado and Utah are better additions than OU and UT?
Do you hate money?
Less money vs Oklahoma and Texas? Absolutely.
That's faggy ASU talk there.
Hey dipshit
ASU and au would be the ones stuck in the shit eastern division
As it should have been. The Southwest Conference reborn and the old/new PAC 8. Would have been glorious.

He had them the second time (OU/Okie State asked to join, which would have brought Texas in by default) and Larry, along with the Univ. Presidents said thanks but no thanks.
When the 4 superconferences model finally takes hold, if the Big XII wins out and grabs the LA Schools, You will see the Pac-12 take the "best" MWC to try and stay relevant. Won't work but they will try.

Yeah, we can quibble about which ACC Florida school to remove and who leaves the SEC with Bama, but every one of those conferences takes a hit without two top schools and only the SEC looks formidable without it's top programs.
The Pacs real problem isn't how bad it looks without the LA schools, it's how bad it looks without USC. We can argue whether UCLA is the second most important Pac program but it's at least in the discussion, and is far less significant than the number two in any of these other conferences.

Texas to the Pac-12 was DOA from jump. It was nothing more than FREE PUB for Texas while they yanked Larry around for a week or two. Larry did his due diligence by talking with them but the negotiations began and ended seconds later with equal revenue sharing. There is a reason nobody wants to be in a conference with Texas.
Texas was pretty into the PAC 16 idea. The Aggies hated it, leaked it to Baylor and TTech and let the deal collapse. At the same time they decided they didn't want to be in the same league as Texas anymore and went SECSECSEC.
Texas was willing to scrap the Longhorn Network for a Southwest Division containing UT, AnM, OU, CU, UofA, ASU, Okie Lite, and either TTech or Baylor.
PAC presidents said "fuck no" to Baylor, which led Ken Starr to start his jihad in the Lege.
this one is particularly funny to me...you have a shitty product that is literally not sellable and then you fire all the sales staff. never has a thing to do with the guy who created the product.

Ummm. UCLA is the 2nd most important program in the PAC 12, and the only other that’s close is Oregon.

Despite your runner up finishes in Rowboat and Softball, you aren’t really that important nor influential to the PAC 12 athletically. No one gives a fuck about who finished 2nd in the PAC 12 north or a Rose Bowl won 20 years ago against a 4 loss team.
Always a good time when some coog thinks UW doesn't matter to the package 12, being in the heart of Seattle. It's not like espn ignored Petersen's gripes last.
UCLA could matter more but they're too much of a joke.

So a team that hasn’t won a major bowl in close to 20 years and has never been to a Final Four is important to the PAC 12.
Look the PAC 12 sucks. But not nearly like that.
Say what you want about Oregon but they’ve won 4 major bowl games since you have and went to the Final Four in 2017.
