Eklund was going to explain it all in the blog later in the week. Wanted to talk to the kid first unlike some of these other sites. They’ll be a pod too w/ recruiting talk once Kim gets back from Scottsdale. Fetters has the crud. Look for that late next week. Until then keep it locked to the boards for more news. It’s about to get crazy.
This doesn't fit the "we? don't offer in-state kids" narrative...
Nope.
It does fit the "be careful about offering in state kids because if you do they're liable to accept it within 5 hours" concept though.
The problems has been "Why wait on offering the in state kids you know are going to be 4* and 5* recruits. There is no value in letting out of state schools come in and be their first offer especially when you know you are eventually going to offer.

Agreed. Being diligent and thorough is a good thing, especially in-state. We? are not "OU" with our? offers and I am fine with our? current approach. Pete offers after they vet the recruits. This kid was MVP at their camps. Nothing wrong with that IMHO. The day we? lack several kids from Warshington in a single class is the day we? can panic; but I understand panic is the only commodity on these boreds in spring so...
Good thing she’d never betray a kids trust or spill the beans or take his moment.
I will give her credit. She does a great fucking job creating relationships with all these recruits by the way she interacts with them and gets the inside scoop.

People were pissed last year that we didn't offer Legg after he got Michigan and Oregon offers for the exact same reason. Out of state schools will throw offers at WA kids way easier than we ever will under Petersen, so it's something we better get used to.

Not the fastest is he? Seems to handle blockers well and has good quickness though. Obviously strength and hitting/tackling aren't a problem.
He also looks like a better QB prospect than some of the guys we've had to suffer through.

I’m not saying that we are perfect in-state because we aren’t ... but there is a delicate balance that we have to walk. Communication is key.
