Oregon had a pretty good thing going.

But finally losing to asu was proof that it's all over.

I don't see the grandeur. The Ducks have a top 5 pick at QB, a deep but unproven RB stable, a total mystery at WR, great size but average receiving TE core, and ridiculous amount of riches on the O-line.

The D-line has some promising youth with a 1st round caliber senior. The LB's are experienced with a sure fire NFL player leading the group. The DB's are young but have a crazy amount of depth.

The punter is back, the kicker will be new.

Replace the top 5 QB with a guy that has played a ton and you have UW. Whatever UW fans think they are capable of Duck fans should be as well. A healthy Herbie gets Oregon 9 or 10 wins last year and they are sitting around #13 in the preseason for 2018.

Oregon was the most consistent program in the conference for 25 years, had one bad year, one rebuild year, and appear ready to get back into double digit win territory on a regular basis again. That's not grandeur, that's what serious football programs do.

    No natty. USC had 3

Pete had a tremendous seven year run. Outside of that USC has been pedestrian. They only had 1.5, btw.

We have a coaching staff that develops players and the best S&C program in the country. You have a Sark.

Good teams have physically dominated UW during the Peterman era. Try again with that. Bama looked like they were playing a junior high.

Mikey B did have like five 10 win seasons with two conference titles, but still.

All they keep taking about down here is how awesome the roster is. And Herbie (who got bent over by Mountain West).

Like it’s pro sports or something.

Casual fans, especially casual Oregon/Washington fans don’t get how important coaching is until their all world players are down 38-3 and still aren’t getting their reads down.

So you mean a true freshman QB who isn't ready for D-1 football resulting in the other team's offense getting way more possessions than normal mixed with the said team with young QB not having offensive success could lead to a lopsided game?

That is fascinating. I had no idea that could happen. Next you'll tell me a team like Clemson will lose their QB for a week and lose to Syracuse. Maybe something even more outlandish like FSU starting as a top 5 team, lose their QB in the first week and struggle to finish .500. Just a ridiculous premise that never happens, ever.

Oh since you like 10 win seasons.

USC in the last 25 years: 11 ten win seasons (4 outside the Carroll run)
Oregon in the last 25 years: 10 ten win seasons (4 outside the Kelly/Helfrich run)

SC wins by literally every possible metric, winning percentage, top 10 finishes, top 5 finishes, significant bowl wins, national championships, etc.

USC being a Mt Rushmore school can win a natty with a good (but not all time greats) coach- i.e., Pete Carroll. Oregon and UW are schools that need all the stars to align + HOF type of corch. Fortunately, USC has only made 1 good hire in the past 40 years and that was just dumb luck.
