Within the past yearWent back and reviewed my Apple Tune history.
Why the FUCK doesn't John Cougar Mellencamp get any love in these poles? Dude is a poet. And he bangs hot models.
Better than fucking Tom Petty or Neil Young for christ sake.

In the past 30 daysAnd DM to all you fuckers like @AZDuck who say I don't know shit about "new" music. I just bought today a vinyl re-issue of Liz Phair's "Exile in Guyville" which came out only 25 years ago.

In the past 30 daysI buy new and used vinyls and cd's all the time. Its lazy to not enjoy the whole album in its entirety. Bought two post-Michael Schenker UFO albums on vinyl last Saturday.

In the past 30 daysIt used to be about 15 years ago that you could go to Half Price Books and get a stack of records for like $5. I mean good records not junk; I got Rumors for about $1. Now all the record stores want $20 for any decent record in good shape. The days of getting deals are over.

Rumors is a great metric. 15 years ago you could find a minty Rumors for anywhere between $1 and $5, the latter being more realistic. Nowadays you're lucky to get it for $15. And that's a record that was pressed in the millions on vinyl and we are not even talking CD or Cassette. There's still some good value in the used bins here and there but much of the good chit has been scooped up. Fortunately, there are so many great reissues out there including that of Rumors. It's about $22 new and cut from the original analog tape.ApostleofGrief said:It used to be about 15 years ago that you could go to Half Price Books and get a stack of records for like $5. Over 5 years agoI had to think long and hard on this one (that's what she said).
I think it was Heart's Passionworks in 1987 when I was 16. Right before I got my first CD player.
