I think Malloe has a higher ceiling than Choate due to him possibly being our gateway to the Polys. IF his upward trajectory continues, there's a possibility that he's considered one of the top recruiters in the PAC in a few years.
I'd have to look at the total group of players Choate brought in. Levi was obviously his big fish. But then you had guys like Ricky McCoy and Shane Bowman and Scrempos. I'm not sure how much "recruiting prowess" was used in bringing in guys like Gaines, Jaylen, and Dissly. Maybe a little for Benning.
I'll take Malloe at this point in the program simply for the poly connection.
This is cheating but Malloe as DL coach and Choate as assistant HC/pass rush coach. I love Choates personality and would widen the net w/ his relationships in Texas/California. Maybe then we could land a BUCK..
Choate was really good by all signs. I'd probably take him, though the inroads Malloe is making with Poly recruiting make it a tougher call. I don't know.

His DL’s have been good and the players get better. He’s killing it recruiting and I have a feeling this year’s DL class will be huge.
