It's easier to find Heisman odds on Browning than it is for Gaskin. I know that because I won a substantial amount of money betting on Lamar Jackson, and now I'm trying to lose it all recapturing that glory.

I don't know if that makes me dumber or smarter than the people who think Browning has a chance at the Heisman.

I have told this story before... but over the years I have rarely bet on football. But back when the Huskies were going through Owen12, the nation was slow to pick up on how just how horrible Willingham was up here. Every week the line would come out, and the Huskies would be 15-30 point underdogs, and I placed bets off shore with 100% confidence I was going to win. And week after week, I won. The only downside as I recall was that it took me about 8 weeks to collect my winnings.

Ok not really. Of course there’s zero chance Browning is the best player on UW let alone in CFB next year. But he’s going to be the QB on a damn good team, which means he has a good chance to stupidly be in the discussion. People forget Jason White won a Heisman. People forget that.

Now we know he’s unlikely to put up the numbers to get him there, but he’s done it once. There’s s non zero chance a couple of the young receivers step up and he gets in the discussion again.

There is a chance that he will reach puberty this year - his voice gets deeper and his boylike muscles become manlike and he will develop a better timing and throwing technique. of course I could be wrong.

I remember looking back from 1997 to 2008 and the Huskies got killed vs. the spread.

Sports Illustrated also thought Miami should drop football after sanctions; that would have been fun. Great idea.

Somehow the idea escaped them to recommend the same for Nebraska, Oklahoma, USC, Free Shoes, North Carolina and about 20 other programs who've had multiple serious violations.

If browning pulls a 2016 again we should brand his Heisman campaign #ISAFNRC as every media discussion about him will be heady, cerebral, plays within himself, coach on the field, crafty, etc
